Our Story
Est. 1992
The name “Cavallino Nero” is a tribute to Ferrari's Cavallino Rampante — but in black, the colour of understated elegance, of the Milanese night, of luxury that needs no proclamation. It is the philosophy that founder Roberto Fontana brought with him when he left the Ferrari Formula 1 team's logistics division to create something new.
In 1992, with a single black Mercedes S-Class and a precise vision of service, Roberto founded Cavallino Nero Milano. His first client was Giorgio Armani, who chose him for transfers during Milan Fashion Week in September 1992. That first season set the standard: absolute punctuality, total discretion, impeccable knowledge of the city.
Three decades later, the spirit remains the same. The fleet has grown, technology has evolved, but every Cavallino Nero ride is still an experience crafted down to the finest detail.

The Next Generation
“My father taught me that true luxury is not ostentation — it is care. Care for the detail, for the client's time, for the environment we live in.”
Giulia Fontana joined Cavallino Nero in 2021 with a clear vision: preserve her father's artisanal excellence and project it into the future. Under her leadership, the company introduced the electric fleet, the digital booking system and the bespoke experiences programme.
A graduate of Business Management at Bocconi, with experience at Mandarin Oriental Group and Four Seasons, Giulia brings the sensibility of luxury hospitality to the limousine service. She personally selects every chauffeur and oversees every aspect of the service.
